The next day I was off to the infamous Blue Lagoon .  I had pictured a majestic hot spring with piercing blue water that healed the mind and body after a morning of soaking.  What I got was a commercialized, artificial spa built around a

Back in town, I ran into a famous hot dog stand, Baejarins Beztu Pylser .  Evidentially, in 2006, it was voted the best hot dog stand in Europe.  Something about the critics landing in Iceland, starving, and nothing was available / open b
I haven't been to every hot dog stand in Europe, but this particular hot dog was dang good.  Besides myself, the stand has served several noteworthy patrons, such as, Bill Clinton, Charlie Sheen, and Metallica vocalist, James Hetfield.  
The hot dog stand is across from the Harpa music hall.  
Hallgrimskirkja - Largest church in Iceland 
One of the locals told me whale watching was good this time of year.  So, I signed up for a midnight sunset (or sunrise?) cruise to see the humpbacks.  We were fortunate and saw them in the distance, along with Puffin Island.
