Perth
 Around the harbor in downtown is  Elizabeth Quay .  Costing Perth about $400M so far, it isn't quite the  tourist hotspot  developers thought it would be.  But, it's pretty to look at and worth a walk-around.
  Fremantle , or "Freo," as the Aussies call it because they choose not to pronounce letters and abbreviate everything, is a short ferry or train ride from Perth.    It's home to  Notre Dame University Australia  and  King's  Square.  King'
 To start our 2 week roadtrip up and down the coast, we stopped in  Yanchep National Park  for a little koala sight-seeing.  Unfortunately, koalas are not indigenous to the West coast, so this was the closest I got to holding one again. &nb
 AirBnb is my new favorite thing for local places to stay.   This  little gem is perfect for walking down  Beaufort Street  to the hippest bars, cafes, and restaurants.  
 Nest stop,  Pinnacles .  These limestone formations are great for inappropriate photos.

 If you're thinking about WA for surfing, think again.  There are a few waves in  Surfer's Beach  north of Exmouth, but it isn't much.  Best to stay south of Perth if you're into that #surferlife.

 On the way back to Perth, you can stop and see one of WA's  pink lakes .  Surprisingly, it really is pink.  Overall, WA is nothing like the East coast.  It's bogan, mostly Outback terrain, locals only caravan parks, and Ningaloo.  If
